yatato hy api kaunteya puruṣasya vipaścitaḥ
indriyᾱṇi pramᾱthīni haranti prasabhaṁ manaḥ (II-60)

™tᾱni sarvᾱṇi saṁyaṁya yukta ᾱsīta matparaḥ
vaśe hi yasye ’ndriyᾱṇi tasya prajñᾱ pratiṣṭhitᾱ (II-61)


II/60. The turbulent senses, O Arjuna, violently carry away
the mind of a wise man though he be striving to
control them.

II/61. Having  restrained  them all,  he  should  sit  steadfast,
intent  on  me.  His wisdom is steady whose senses
are under control.
