Primary devotion arises only by the Grace of God or the Holy Ones. Devotion in which division is absent is not for the mind or the ego-sense to “achieve”. Primary devotion is also called supreme love, total self-surrender or total absorption. Self-surrender is liberation, whoever or whatever one surrenders to. when the “self” is surrendered, what is, is God.
A word of caution with regard to spiritual experiences. As with human love, so with God-love. Rationalization kills it. The moment you become aware of the exalted privilege, it is taken away. The ego shall not be permitted to welcome God. But even when you think that the experience has ceased, it has only been assimilated. There is no loss, in the words of Krishna.
