Welcome

Welcome to the Swami Venkatesananda Website.  We are currently revising a newer version (but it is not yet posted to the web).

Swami Venkatesananda - like his master, Swami Sivananda - can be regarded as a sage of practical wisdom.

Focusing on issues that concern and unite all branches of yoga, it is our intention to provide materials that will enrich and enliven your understanding and practice of yoga.

It with great sadness that we announce that Robert Franke, our long time webmaster,  programmer and host of SwamiVenkatesananda.org passed away at the end of 2021.  We owe Robert much of the credit for this site and also the new site which was he on the way to completing when he was hospitalized and where he remained until he passed away.  This has not only delayed our new version of our website, but currently makes it difficult to update the old site. If you spot a problem or have difficulty with something, please let us know.

In the meantime, we have added some new audio to our What's New section.  There are four dozen new talks (48), with the latest ones being added on August 15th, 2022.

Thank you for your patience.
